Greetings, all. Ambush Bug here with another special AICN HORROR: ZOMBIES & SHARKS contest. You’ll be seeing a review of THE BELL WITCH in an upcoming AICN HORROR column, but I assure you it’s a compelling and frightening read. Here’s the synopsis of THE BELL WITCH; The book is the fictionalized account of what is perhaps the most well-documented poltergeist case in the United States. In the 1820s in rural Tennessee, an invisible entity calling itself only "the Witch" harassed the Bell family, saving most of its ire for the patriarch, Jack Bell, and his daughter, Betsy. It is also the only recorded case where a spirit has killed a person.
The books are published through Books of the Dead Press, but the author John FD Taff wants to give away two physical copies of THE BELL WITCH and LITTLE DEATHS (an anthology of Taff’s short stories) and two online copies of the books to some lucky AICN HORROR readers.
Now, I know for some of you on this site mainly dedicated to films might have a deep seeded fear of picking up a book. So to win this contest, I want you to finish this simple sentence; “I am afraid to read because………” Those who finish that sentence with the most interesting, cleverest, and/or twisted words will be the proud winners of either a physical or digital copy of THE BELL WITCH and LITTLE DEATHS. So finish that phrase, DON’T FORGET TO ADD YOUR FULL ADDRESS and CLICK THIS LINK and you could be a big winner with all the bragging rights that go with it!
Best of luck to all and be sure to tune in next week for the winners!
