Stephen Lang to return for all three AVATAR sequels!

Hey Yo, Draven here.

So obviously spoilers here for the first AVATAR film, but the villain of the film, Colonel Quaritch was thought to be dead at the end of the film. Well in an interview with Deadline, James Cameron has revealed that despite that, Stephen Lang will return for all three AVATAR sequels. Here are his quotes:

“Steven was so memorable in the first film, we’re privileged to have him back. I’m not going to say exactly how we’re bringing him back, but it’s a science fiction story, after all. His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who’s also become a good friend.”

This is good news as Stephen Lang was one of the most memorable aspects of the first film and if he has an arc that stretches over three films he could be even better in the sequels. Deadline compared Colonel Quaritch to a mix between Darth Vader and The Terminator and if that is the case and he is being brought back as an unstoppable machine, then I think most of us will be more intrigued by these sequels.

AVATAR 2 is scheduled to hit theaters in December of 2016 with the 3rd and 4th films to follow in December 2017 and 2018.
