The McCullen family has a long history of war profiting. James “Destro” McCullen XXIV keeps the tradition alive as the head of M.A.R.S. Industries, the top arms supplier to the COBRA terrorist organization. Sideshow Collectibles pays tribute to this lord of war with a new 12-inch action figure complete with a fabric uniform, his ruby medallion, a belt with pistol harness, a chrome pistol, arm gauntlets with miniature rockets and hand grenades, and a communications case with a secret panel that stores his laser pistol. Cobra Commander’s right-hand man releases in April or you can pre-order him here.  

 

 

THE MARK XXXVIII FROM HOT TOYS

When Iron Man fans saw the first designs of the Mark XXXVIII from Iron Man 3, some assumed it was some sort of “Hulkbuster” armor. Now Hot Toys has announced a new 1/6 scale action figure based on heavy lifting suit. It features more than 25 points of articulation, air flaps on the back, LED-lighted eyes, chest emblem and palms, and one pair of hands with movable fingers. This big boy will ship in October of 2014 or you can pre-order him here.

Spider-man will get his own Marvel Legends wave of figures in the Spring, featuring some of his greatest foes and his likeness from the upcoming sequel. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (movie-based), ELECTRO (movie-based), SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN (comic-based), CARNAGE (swap, comic-based), BEETLE (swap, comic-based) and BLACK CAT (swap, comic-based) will include a piece to for the ULTIMATE GREEN GOBLIN (comic-based) Build-A-Figure. Three swap figures will also appear in the assortment.

Hasbro kicked off New York Comic-Con with a series of new product reveals including the latest wave of Star Wars Black 3.75-inch toys. The Episode V versions of Luke, Toryn Farr, Yoda and a Snowtrooper Commander will go on sale in the spring. From the 6-inch series, Hasbro showed off an Episode III Anakin Skywalker. Look for him in the Spring as well.

Optimus Prime gets a new design for the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction. Hasbro has released new images of the movie toy based on the upcoming movie. The leader class figure features an updated Western Star truck design, some sort of key accessory and a big star-saber-looking sword. He will run you $44.99 when he goes on sale May 1.

DC Collectibles will unveil two new 6-inch action figure lines at this weekend’s New York Comic-Con. Here’s the pics from the Earth 2 series. No word yet when Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Flash will release, but we’ll keep you updated. We’ll also post pics of the upcoming Justice League: War series as soon as we get them.  

 

 

 

WWE BUILDING BLOCK SETS FROM BRIDGE DIRECT

The biggest wrestling superstars in the world plan to lay the “Stack Down” with a new series of building block playsets and mini action figures. The Bridge Direct posted this pic on itsFacebook page showing off the new miniature versions of John Cena, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kofi Kingston and several other professional grapplers. The biggest, baddest super villains of the Marvel Universe have gotten the Minimate zombie treatment from Art Asylum and Diamond Select Toys. Magneto, Green Goblin, Galactus, and Red Skull have teamed together for a new box set, complete with flight stands, a rock base, a Goblin Glider, Magneto’s hair, various weapons, removable guts and an alternate Zombie Norman Osborn head. These will begin to haunt comic shops later this month or you can pre-order the set here.   AND FINALLY THIS WEEK, Pixel Dan gives us a closer look at the buffest jackrabbit in all Eternia.
