Hey guys! Horrorella here...
A trailer has emerged for CHARLIE COUNTRYMAN, a colorful and whirlwindy looking romance from first-time director Fredrik Bond. LaBeouf stars as the title character, who meets and falls for a girl named Gabi (Evan Rachel Wood) through a series of rather strange circumstances. As his feelings for her grow, he finds himself at odds with her gangster ex (Mads Mikkelsen).
The film received mixed reviews at Sundance, and from the trailer, it's a little hard to pinpoint exactly what the film will bring. LaBeouf spends the first half of the trailer falling in love, and the second half getting his ass kicked and the footage has something of a fever dream quality to it.
CHARLIE COUNTRYMAN co-stars Melissa Leo, Rupert Grint and Vincent D'Onofrio. It opens on November 15th.
When his late mother appears in a vision and tells him to go to Bucharest, Charlie immediately boards a plane across the Atlantic. But when he meets a fellow passenger, Charlie finds himself with another promise to fulfill. Charlie does so – and falls head over heels in love with Gabi, a beautiful musician. However, a vicious gangster has already laid claim to Gabi, and has no intention of letting her go. Determined to protect her, Charlie enters into the hallucinatory, Romanian underworld filled with violence and, strangely enough, love.
