Uncover THE SECRET VILLAGE One Sheet!

Available on DVD December 17, 2013 and on Video On Demand January 1, 2014 is THE SECRET VILLAGE, directed by Swamy M. Kandan and starring Jonathan Bennett (MEAN GIRLS), Ali Faulkner (TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN P1), Stelio Savante, Richard Riehle (OFFICE SPACE). Here’s the official synopsis;

They start to uncover a secret about ergot poisoning that has affected this village for years. Shock Till You Drop Drops the First Trailer for SOLO!

Looks like Shock Till You Drop is getting into the horror making business and it’s got a pretty legit looking trailer to prove it. I like the setup and tension built in the trailer and I look forward to checking out the film soon for AICN HORROR. The film was written and directed by Isaac Cravit and stars Annie Clark, Daniel Kash, Richard Clarkinold. Here’s the synopsis;
17-year-old Gillian takes a job as a counselor at a remote summer camp. As part of her initiation, she must spend two nights by herself on the camp's island, an intimidating collision of rock and wilderness carved out of the lake, supposedly haunted by the ghost of a camper who disappeared suspiciously decades before. When Gilllian's "solo" is interrupted by a local man responding to a distress call, what was meant to be a peaceful time alone in nature devolves into something disturbingly different. As her paranoia mounts, a horrifying secret is uprooted and Gillian finds herself in a desperate fight to survive.

SOLO is going to be available on Video On Demand and digital download October 22nd and below is the trailer!

Support ASYLUM 33D on Kickstarter!

Looking for a horror comic book to support? How about ASYLUM 33D? Which is described as;
ASYLUM 33D was built in 1936, a time when the U.S. was struggling to recover from the Great Depression and every new job meant a full stomach for a hungry family. Funded by Roosevelt's New Deal, Asylum 33D was comprised of nearly twenty underground floors, built to house the suicidal, the mentally ill, and the homeless away from the surface in an inescapable underground psychiatric hospital. Even women and children were thrown into the depths of the hospital and to it’s closing in 1955, not a single escape was reported. Only 33 deaths. Years later Ethan is convinced by his bright-eyed fourteen year old younger brother, Corey, to drive him and his three friends, Stephen, Zack, and Ben to the hospital upon hearing the legend of Asylum 33D, a place now so haunted that even the police don't visit it anymore. The rules are simple. They each have a flashlight with an hour's worth of battery life and after exploring the asylum for the next hour, they are to return and head back home. Ethan however separates from the group upon discovering streaks of blood on the floor and follows them into a stairway. Suddenly, a terrifying shriek begins moving towards him from out the darkness. Ethan suddenly awakens on the lowest floor of the asylum, lost and alone. He wanders the halls with the battery of his flashlight slowly running down, only to find Stephen with a swollen left eye, balled up and crying on the floor. Something has dragged his brother and his friends into the depths of Asylum 33D. Now Ethan must climb his way back up to the top floor before his batteries die, seeking the others as he finds them in the labyrinth that is this place, and dodging the insane and violent ghosts that still haunt Asylum 33D.

Asylum Press/Pretend For Real Studios unleash trailer for ROUGH HOUSE film/comic!

Asylum Press is teaming with Pretend For Real Studios to bring you the one two punch of both a comic and a film based on the same concept of ROUGH HOUSE, described as;
combining the brutal ruckus of FIGHT CLUB, the twisted horror of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and drapes it under a cloak of a government black ops conspiracy. The story begins with an athletic young woman known only as “The Girl” who is kidnapped and thrown into a bizarre world of masked serial killers who torment their victims in brutal underground fights, backyard wrestling matches and deadly mixed martial arts bouts. She soon proves herself able to hold her own in death matches against colorful masked killers with names like “Bone Job”, “Baby Fat, and “Skeeter the Devil Boy”. Once inside the ROUGH HOUSE,“The Girl” uncovers dark secrets that possibly link her to a secret government program and to the fighters themselves. As “The Girl’s” psyche is worn down by brainwashing and psychotropic drugs, she becomes more and more of a stone cold killer herself. She must decide whether she will escape the Rough House or stay focused on her true target, the ringleader called “Big Daddy.”

The project is just being funded, but I’ll keep you all updated on it as it develops. Find out more about this project here. Check out the trailer below!

Get Down and Dirty with this MUCK Trailer!

This one is just oozing with indie goodness. Directed and written by Steve Wolsh and starring Kane Hodder. MUCK is described as;

the highly stylized and hyper-violent middle chapter of a true horror trilogy that unfolds like a love letter to horror fanatics everywhere. Filmed completely on the Red Epic in ultra HD without any CGI, MUCK simultaneously pushes the limits of what can be done both within the horror genre and independent filmmaking.

MUCK is coming soon.
