Hey guys! Horrorella here...
Neill Blomkamp's new comedy CHAPPIE is set to start shooting early next year. Based on Blomkamp's short film, TETRA VAAL, it will tell the story of a robot with articifical intelligence who is kidnapped by a pair of local gangsters (to be played by Die Antwoord's Ninja and Yolandi Visser). We know that Sharlto Copley is on board to voice the robot, and now, it seems that Hugh Jackman has joined the cast as well, reports Screen Daily.
In a recent interivew, he stated,
I am doing a role in Neill’s new film, called Chappie, which we shoot in Johannesburg. I’m there for a couple of weeks at the beginning of next year.
We don't know exactly what this role will be, but according to Bleeding Cool, it will be a resourceful CEO who finds himself at odds with the gangsters.
