A trailer has arrived for the Ford Brothers' follow-up to their 2010 low-budget zombie film, THE DEAD.
Set in Rajasthan, THE DEAD 2: INDIA follows American engineer Nicholas Burton (Joseph Millson) as he treks across the country (through hoards of the undead, obviously) to reach his pregnant pregnant girlfriend.
I found the first film to be something of a mixed bag. I applauded Howard and Jonathan Ford for taking the zombies old-school and making them shamble clumsily around, and for using the slow-movement as a very effective suspense tool. But the successful moments were unfortunately not enough to overcome the duller sections, and I found the entire experience to be a bit lacking.
That being said, I am finding myself intrigued by this trailer. It looks like they are once again playing with just how scary and threatening traditional zombies can be (particularly in groups), and showing the outbreak on an expanded scale from last time.
