Plenty of New Footage on Offer in New OLDBOY Featurette!

Hey guys! Horrorella here...

Filmdistrict has released a new featurette for Spike Lee's take on Park Chan-Wook's classic tale of revenge and mayhem, OLDBOY. This clip gives us a look behind-the-scenes of the film, as well as shows off some footage that hasn't been seen in any of the trailers, including a couple of shots of the infamous hallway fight sequence.

OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.

Brolin states in the clip that when preparing for the role, he spent three days in solitary confinement, but notes that, while it did help him to find the character, there is a distinct and important difference between what he endured, knowing that he would soon be out, and what his character, Joe Doucett, would have been feeling, not knowing if/when he would ever be freed.

Check it out below. OLDBOY co-stars Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Imperioli, Sharlto Copley and Lance Reddick. It is set to open on November 27th.
