Dreamworks has released the first trailer for the video game adaptation NEED FOR SPEED, directed by Scott Waugh (ACT OF VALOR). Aaron Paul stars as a mechanic/driver who is framed on a manslaughter charge by an ex-NASCAR driver (Dominic Cooper). When he is released from prison two years later, he sets out for revenge at a high-stakes underground race.
For a movie about car chases and explosions (both are featured in the footage here), the trailer is really leaning toward the dramatic side. While still looking fun, of course (car chases and explosions, remember?).
NEED FOR SPEED co-stars Imogen Poots, Ramon Rodriguez, Kid Cudi, Rami Malek, Dakota Johnson and Michael Keaton. It opens on March 14th.
