If I’m reading Deadline’s exclusive correctly, the potential Syfy series “Creature At Bay” will focus on the California Emergency Management Agency undersecretary charged with dealing with the aftermath of a Kaiju attack on the Northern California coast.
The potential pilot is being scripted by John Cabrera, who also also wrote the Singer-produced digital series “H+,” which dealt with a future in which one third of the human population was connected to the Internet via a brain implant.
“Creature” producer Bryan Singer, whose big-screen directorial efforts include “X-Men,” “X-Men 2,” “Superman Returns” and the upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” produced Fox’s long-running Fox drama “House” and has the upcoming neuroscientist drama “Black Box” project at ABC.
