Is It A Film Festival Or A Party?! Fantastic Fest 2013 Signature Events!

Nordling here.

The events at Fantastic Fest are just as memorable as the movies.  There's always the Fantastic Debates, where you can watch the likes of Elijah Wood getting his clock cleaned by fellow LOTR alumni Dominic Monaghan, or Joe Swanberg laying down some punching sauce on Devin Faraci.  There's the Fantastic Feud, with many in the film blogger community testing their mettle with their movie knowledge.  Some great independent video gaming is always a plus at the Fantastic Arcade. There's also the fierce CHAOS REIGNS! Karaoke - you will believe movie geeks can sing, which just might be topped this year with Metal Mayham, with live band Karaoke Apocalypse providing the music, and a possible appearance by those bards of beatdown, Metallica.  It's a festival full of camaraderie and friendship, and if you ever get the chance to go, don't hesitate.

This year threatens to be the best yet - Tim League will debate Keanu Reeves on Tai Chi vs. Tae Kwon Do, with martial arts master and star of MAN OF TAI CHI Tiger Hu Chen dispensing some pain to Mr. League.  I'm also really excited about the Cards Against Humanity Happy Hour - I love that game to death.  Here's the event roster, and between watching movies and attending these events, I just may be a dead man.

Face Off Against the One Himself, Keanu Reeves

Austin, TX - Friday, September 6 - Fantastic Fest proudly announces the signature events lineup for 2013.  Sure, Fantastic Fest is ostensibly a film festival, but a tremendous portion of the thunderous wildness happens off the screen.  The festival is pleased to continue the tradition with events like Fantastic Debates and Chaos Reigns: Fantastic Fest Karaoke Party along with new events like the Master Pancake Mystery Mockery Show and the Cards Against Humanity Happy Hour.

This year's highly anticipated Fantastic Debates will be presented by MAN OF TAI CHI and Radius-TWC with director & star Keanu Reeves debating Fantastic Fest Co-Founder Tim League, followed by a round of boxing with Mr. League and MAN OF TAI CHI lead Tiger Hu Chen, a superhuman master of form and combat.
