Never Before Seen Behind the Scene Footage of STEPHEN KING’S THE NIGHT FLIER!
First up is something really special, some never before seen footage from the 1997 film STEPHEN KING’S THE NIGHT FLIER written & directed by Mark Pavia and starring Miguel Ferrer, Julie Entwisle, Dan Monahan, and Michael Moss. I always found this film to be somewhat of an overlooked gem with Ferrer’s role as a reporter investigating strange happenings at an airport to be a lot of fun. Thanks to Mr. Renfield for bringing this to my attention. Next is an exclusive clip to THE CONSPIRACY which is described as When two young filmmakers select a crazed conspiracy theorist as the subject of their new movie, they have no idea the terrifying peril they will put themselves in. When the man disappears without a trace, the filmmakers begin an obsessive quest to uncover the truth that will lead them to an ancient and dangerous secret society. A meticulously researched thriller based on real conspiracy theories, THE CONSPIRACY blurs the line between fact and fiction, news and propaganda. Seems really interesting. The film is available now on Video On Demand and iTunes by XLrator Media. The film is written/directed by Christopher MacBride and stars Aaron Poole and Jim Gilbert. The Makers of THE TAINT Bring You SCIENCE TEAM!
The guys behind THE TAINT (reviewed here) are at it again with SCIENCE TEAM a science fiction horror comedy mash-up that is described as; Chip returns home to find that his mother has been brutally murdered. A sessile space alien is now living in her house. Science Team must eliminate the extraterrestrial threat. Drama ensues. People die. Inner and extraterrestrial demons are engaged. Men in pink suits use cool-looking technology. Events culminate in a destructive orgy of violence of such an epic intensity that people's minds are literally blown out of their heads. After experiencing THE TAINT, I can’t wait to see what Drew Bolduc has up his sleeve for us with this one and this one has a very cool Wes Anderson by way of Troma vibe. Good news, Bigfoot fans! The Yowie hunting film THROWBACK will have its UK premiere at the Bram Stoker International Film Festival in October. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this film and can’t wait to check it out soon. Here’s the synopsis; THROWBACK is the second feature film from Australian writer-director Travis Bain. Filmed in Cairns, North Queensland, the horror/adventure thriller is about two modern-day treasure hunters, a female park ranger and an unhinged ex-cop who encounter a savage Bigfoot-type monster known as a Yowie in the remote jungles of northern Australia. The film stars Shawn Brack, Anthony Ring and genre film legend Vernon Wells (Commando, The Road Warrior). I know I posted this last week, but the film is in the final days of the finding, so I figured I’d give them another post. DESPERATE DOLLS, touted as a “female driven horror movie” is directed by Darren Callahan and the story sounds intriguing. 1968 L.A. After auditioning for a low-budget film producer, three beautiful actresses become entangled in hypnosis and killing. Below is the teaser trailer.And here’s the Kickstarter video!

The Day Before Halloween Just Got Scarier, MISCHIEF NIGHT Trailer!
We’re finishing up the column this week with the new trailer for the film MISCHIEF NIGHT from director Richard Schenkman (who directed the super-fun ABRAHAM LINCOLN VS ZOMBIES – reviewed here) and starring Daniel Hugh Kelly (Cujo, Star Trek: Insurrection, "From The Earth to The Moon"), Charlie O’Connell (Dude, Where’s My Car, “Sliders”), Erica Leerhsen (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Anything Else), Ally Walker (“Sons of Anarchy,” Universal Soldier), Stephanie Erb (The Ring, Starship Troopers) and Richard Riehle (Bridesmaids, A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas). MISCHIEF NIGHT is about a terrifying home invasion the night before Halloween. Young Emily Walton (Noell Coet), who has suffered from psychosomatic blindness ever since the car accident that took her mother’s life, must summon every instinct at her disposal to protect herself and her loved ones from a mysterious intruder.
