Sylvester Stallone is reportedly negotiating to reprise his big-screen role as John Rambo in a new TV series based on the long-running “First Blood” movie franchise.
Stallone would also be involved with the series creatively.
There are not a lot of details, but one assumes Stallone, with his active feature career, would only be a recurring presence on the proposed series. I’d also guess that the series would focus on the fruit of Rambo’s loins.
CBS’ failed “Beverly Hills Cop” series, recall, was to focus on Alex Foley’s son, while Eddie Murphy was to play Axel himself on a recurring basis.
(Recall also that Stallone turned down the role of Foley in Martin Brest’s original “Beverly Hills Cop” before Murphy snapped it up.)
