We know that both Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are going to be a part of THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. It sounds like Aaron Taylor-Johnson will probably end up as Quicksilver but who will play his sister? Well according to Bleeding Cool, it might end up being Taylor-Johnson’s fellow GODZILLA cast member, Elizabeth Olsen (a.k.a. the talented Olsen sister).
BC is also reporting that the role was first offered to Saoirse Ronan but she turned it down and now Whedon and Marvel are turning their attention to Olsen, in hopes of her accepting the role.
Possible spoilers here - Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will apparently be European superheroes, who at first are at odds with THE AVENGERS but then must join forces with them to defeat Ultron. Which means that Olsen will have to adopt a European accent for the role.
What do you guys think? Is this a good casting choice for Scarlet Witch? (If any of you haven't seen MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE, do so soon and it will make you feel better about this rumor.)
