Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
Thanks to the hotel internet completely going down yesterday today's image is a bit late. I'm currently sitting in Phoenix on my layover back home and it makes me a bit crazy that this free airport internet is 100% more reliable and fast than the shitty hotel internet I was paying $10 a day for, whether I could use it or not.
Since yesterday was my big day to put aside Expo business and just hang out at Disneyland I wanted to theme the BTS picture appropriately, so I dug up this shot of Walt Disney showing his model of the main entrance to his proposed Happiest Place In The World.
After having had my first experience at Disney World earlier this year, it was weird going back to Disneyland. It feels tiny in comparison, but all my memories from childhood visits still pull me around the park... every corner, old attraction and smell seem to trigger a happy memory. I mean, that stale chlorinated Pirates of the Caribbean smell alone triggers happy thoughts.
So, here's my tribute to Disneyland with Uncle Walt selling his vision way back in the day. Enjoy!
