One of the biggest surprises of IRON MAN 3 (and one of my favorite moments) was Shane Black's take on the Mandarin character. He went from global menace to comic puppet in just a few short minutes, and Kinglsey's performance was spectacular. Sure, the character is greatly altered from what fans of the comic were expecting, but I enjoyed it, nonetheless.
Today, in preparation for the upcoming Blu-ray release (due out September 24th), USA Today premiered a deleted scene of Kingsley in his full-on Mandarin persona. The scene will be included on the disc, along with additional deleted footage, commentary with Shane Black, a gag reel, making-of featurettes, behind-the-scenes footage of the upcoming THOR: THE DARK WORLD and the one-shot short AGENT CARTER.
