Larry David does not play himself in “Clear History,” but boy does this movie feel like half a season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” crammed into one feature film. And it demonstrates that wobbly comedy concepts like eye-level electrical sockets are perhaps better sustained in half-hour doses.
Play the trailer above and discover the movie has a tremendous cast, even if it does take you a couple of scenes before you realize the angry codger who eventually facilitates Nathan Flomm’s vengeance is former Batman Michael Keaton.
Also on the plus side is a soundtrack by the band Chicago, which gets its own plotline.
Are there laughs? Yes. Is it as good as “Curb”? It feels like it should be -- but is actually, in the words of David himself, “a little much.”
