John Ary here with a look at Neil Blomkamp's latest sci-fi flick.
Elysium seems to be made up of two different films. One features gritty futuristic action, amazing special effects and a terrific turn by Sharlto Copley as an unstable bad guy.
The other features a bunch of bland flashbacks that utilize generic lens flares and a giant piece of symbolism that will beat you over the head like a police robot on patrol in a bad neighborhood...
