Gina Carano worked out well enough that Universal wants to hire another female MMA fighter for FAST AND FURIOUS 7. Variety is reporting that Ronda Rousey is in early discussions to join the seventh installment of the increasingly popular franchise. The plan is for Rousey to shoot her scenes for THE EXPENDABLES 3 first and then to move on to FAST AND FURIOUS 7 this fall. Unlike Carano though, Rousey is still an active fighter and has a fight scheduled for December 28th and needs 45 consecutive uninterrupted days to train for that championship fight so she will be working non-stop to meet that deadline.
FAST AND FURIOUS 7 is expected to begin shooting soon for release on July 11, 2014 It returns Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson along with the addition of Jason Statham as the antagonist and James Wan at the helm.
