John Ary here with a spoiler-free look at the latest X-Film from Fox.
The Wolverine does something that no other Marvel movie (perhaps with the exception of X-Men: First Class) has been able to pull off... make Logan resemble his comic book counterpart. For me, Hugh Jackman just never seemed to fit the part. No knock against him, but he's always been too good looking, suave, tall, hairless, chiseled and charismatic to portray the surly mutant. My opinion changed within a few minutes of watching The Wolverine. This is a solid action flick that takes the time to build up the characters, so you actually care about their outcomes during the big battles. What a concept!
