More exciting news for the casts of The Groundlings, Second City and The Upright Citizens Brigade theaters.
There was talk last summer that Jason Sudeikis would leave with Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg, but it looks like Sudeikis’ long tenure as an SNL regular is finally over one year later.
Sudeikis revealed his long-anticipated departure on Wednesday night’s “Late Show With David Letterman.”
Bill Hader and Fred Armisen revealed in May and June, respectively, that they too would not be back for SNL’s upcoming season.
This is likely great news for newish featured player Tim Robinson, as well as fellow returning white male cast members Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan. (Seth Meyers is leaving SNL at the end of this year to host NBC’s “Late Night” franchise.)
Sudeikis reunites with “Horrible Bosses” co-star Jennifer Aniston for the Aug. 7 release “We’re The Millers,” the latest effort from director Rawson Marshall Thurber (“Dodgeball,” “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh”)
