HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSES teaser trailer up
Hey folks, Harry here... Go check out the teaser trailer for this film of Rob Zombie's. You know... I am really really rooting for Rob on this one. I mean, anyone that is cool enough to have their own McFarlane Action Figure, that creates that badass FRANKENSTEIN cd and finally... shops more than me at CREATURE FEATURES... well I have to root for him. Plus, if you listen to his interviews on the site for this film... he at least really knows the right things to say. Seriously... he nails it there. The trailer? It does exactly what it's supposed to do. It creates curiosity and atmosphere and tells you nothing other than... there's a lot of stinky dead bodies in this film. And that is pretty cool in my book...
hey harry,
i wasn't sure if you already had seen this but it
looks pretty damn creepy. zombie knows where it's at
and i think he's got the potential to make a kick-ass
horror movie. it's not gonna be one of those pretty
person, teenie bopper horror movies that seem to be
saturating everything, everywhere. this is the email
that i was sent from "house of 1000 corpses":

If I would trust anybody to make a truly kick ass horror movie,
by xthecrovvx
I dont know when this movie comes out, but this project has been this horror fans wet dream since White Zombie came into existence. Rob's a worshipper of TRUE horror flicks, and has stated his hatred for those candyass teenybopper horror flicks of the past few years repeatedly. What he's gonna do here is breath some new life into a genre thats been comatose for a while. Now, the big questions are...number one, are studios going to let him do what he wants, and not hold him back?, number two, are all those 15-/16-year old girls who just go nuts for all those POS horror movies gonna wake up enough to go check this one out? and number three, is Rob going to be nice enough to grace us all with another bad ass soundtrack?

I still wonder what the new Crow movie would have been like if Rob Zombie would have directed it. By the way the trailor looks, I think Zombie could have made a kickass Crow: Dark, and morbid. I really liked his premise. Rest in Peace Brandon Lee!

Looks like a bland Texas Chainsaw Massacre-meets-Blair Witch kin

Could anyone point me to a place that will tell me more about this movie? It looks interesting, but I'd like to know more aobut the premise! I tried the official site, but that thing is just ridiculous.
-
I'm sorry, judging from of this enthusiasm, there must be another Rob Zombie because the one I'm thinking of has made no kick-ass soundtrack that I know of. Granted, I enjoyed some White Zombie tunes, but his solo stuff sucks ass. It's like bad psuedo-industrial meets bad pseudo-rockibilly. I'd rather listen to GOOD industrial or GOOD rockibilly anyday. But since the general public doesn't know much about either of these categories of music, they buy this shite. I'm afraid his movie might be the same kind of thing. Reminding me of something better without reaching that quality. I hope his film making is better than his music, but that's all I have to judge him by, and my conclusion is whoopee! Another shitty horror flick.

Saw the trailer. Looks kind of low-budget. So what the hell is the movie about?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA THAT LOOKS SO DAMN FUNNY! ROB ZOMBIE DIRECTING A
by ka' dargo otaku
hehehehe, that movie is gonna be funny as hell. I am gonna laugh my ass off! And eat lots of popcorn!

Rob Zombie is a whimp tryin' to be tough like almost every hard rock artist. Even skinny Snoop Doggy Dogg would kick his ass.(plus Snoop is cool and funny) Now this little dumbhead's gotten himself a movie. And the title, God, it really says it all doesn't it? "The House Of 1000 Corpses". The only thing more desperate would be if the movie would be titled "Blood, Gore, Violent, Murders, Killing, Murderers And Real, Real, Real, Real Tough Guys". What a jerk that Rob-guy is!!!!!!!
-
Thunder, lightening, and a graveyard - ooooh creepy!BULLSHIT! No one, and I mean NO ONE, has ever been able to make a movie as scary as The Exorcist, and I don't think there was a single horror cliche in that entire movie (but then again, I had my eyes shut half the time). This looks like some hackneyed ripoff of Tales From The Crypt. Gimme a break. The guys that I knew in school that grew up to be like Rob Zombie all got their asses kicked on a regular basis. I think they invent this persona as a form of self-defense. Blair Witch may not stand the test of time scary-wise, but at least it was different and new (or substitue that for The Last Broadcast for you purests out there).

Looks like we have some bonifide horror experts in this talk back thread. Wow.
Anyhoo, the trailer looks great considering they just started shooting the film a few weeks ago. The trailer adds just the right amount of mystery and DAMN! - all those crosses?! Looks like there'll be bodies galore.
Rob is has a cornucopia of horror knowledge and I have no doubts that he'll deliver. -
It might not end up the scariest film in the world, but it`ll at least be entertaining. duo-sonic - I actually can`t tell a whole hell of a lot of difference between White Zombie and the solo album. His solo stuff is basically the "Astro-Creep" album without all the cussing and better production. And as for his directing ability, I think all the videos he directed were pretty stylish.....in a camp-horror way, of course. and Kirk`s Toupee, the difference is, Marky Mark and Ice Cube stopped selling records so they turned to acting (and later directing for Cube). Rob Zombie still sells plenty of records and tickets. It would be pretty cheesy if he tried acting in horror movies (like Danzig), but I think it`s pretty cool that he`s making a horror flick.
-
Christ, you'd think you were the gods of all that is cool on this planet. Ive got a few words for any cheese dick motherfucker out there that would like to denounce Rob Zombie. First off the man is an entertainer, he entertains. Have any of you cocks been to one of his concerts? Go see one, then come back here and spray verbal filth about a man who puts on a show as great as that. I dare you. House of 1000 corpses will not be an Oscar winner, it won't break box office records, but by God it will open a few eyes to what is missing from Hollywood. And thats heart, and spirit, and will to create something, to give something back. Not to bog your senses with Tom-Fucking Cruise and cheap ass stunts, to sell you toys. No, this will be a simple, honest, return to what once made movies fun. What made things real, what your parents didn't want you to see. I am behind this man 110% and to those non-believers out there, go jack off to to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and shut your fucking mouth.

yeah, your right, all those rock bastards are a bunch of wanna be'
by sciyth
id rather have a movie by rob that would at least look at something in a creative manner. or would you rather have snoop and ice-t work on a horror movie? do you know what you would get? do you remember a load of shite called tales from the hood?ooooooh scary........
-
Well, you know, I hope he, you know, writes and you know, directs, better than he you know, talks. And I hope he hired a different camera man to shoot the movie than the interviews. There's nothing more exciting than a video camera rolling around while shooting a TV set. Wow, isn't that you know, cool?
-
The only thing scary about this is that someone actually want to give Rob Zombie a chance to make a movie. What's next? An action movie starring "Iron Maiden". Oh, the horror!!!!!
-
Hey, I'm not saying that new school rappers doesn't act like they're tough. I was only using Snoop Dogg as an example, 'cause. hey, he's a whimp too (that was the "skinny" part.) OK, we all got things straightened out, here? Good....
-
Hey, I didn't say that Snoop would do better in a movie. I just used skinny Snoop beatin Zombie up as an example of how whimpy I think that Rob is. And I think he's cool and funny, 'cause, hey, I'M THE ONLY FUCKING PERSON IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD WHO UNDERSTANDS THAT RAPPERS ARE IRONIC IN THEIR LYRICS. Y'ALL THINK THAT THEY ARE DEAD SERIOUS IN EVRYTHING THEY SAY, DON'T YA'? Listen to Eminem's "Criminal", and, hopefully, you will see that I'm right. And whoever trashed Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit, well...You know Limp Bizkit's song to "Mission:Impossible 2", "Take A Look Around". Well, it's an explination for all you jerks who want to call them "first date rape rock". Damn, y'all understand that Iron maiden's "The Wicker Man"-lyrics is just something that they've come up with, why in the fuck can't you understand that for example Limp Bizkit's also putting on a show. Oh yeah, one more thing, El Mariachi, Metallica also suck as...Sue me!

Still, isn't it fun how I turned this discussion to rock vs. rap. Damn you're easy to play with!!!!

The trailer looks cool and the film sounds mysterious. Can't wait to see more... and can't to check out the new haunted house at UNIVERSAL ORLANDO!!

...The Exorsist was the least scariest movie of all time. There was nothing scary involved with that film. Hell, did you forget The Shining, Halloween (the original, baby), Nospheratu(1922 version), and maybe even that italian flick, Demons? Those are far more scarier/thrilling than The Exorsist. I might think this just because i'm not religous, but there wasn't one thrill, or scary moment in The Exorsist. I own the flick, saw it when i was little, and i wasn't scared one friggin bit. Shining is all over creepy, Halloween has that naturl nighttime lighting that really makes you open your eyes, which helps build the suspence (and no gore), that old Nospheratu has a creepy/silent feel, and Demons is so ultra violent and dark, it scared the living shit outta me when i was little. PS, this film, House of 1000 corpses, looks like it can kick ass, in a good horror movie style. Hell, if anyone watched his video he directed, i mean really watched it, ("I'm your Boogy man" comes to mind), you'd see he has the most potential of all people today to pull off a good horror flick. I'm so there to see this flick, and all you who doubt mr. zombie, you can go to hell...no pun intended.
-
I know little abour Rob Zombie, except that he seems very interesting from his interviews and a hooror movie by him would seem to me to be different and creepy/cool. BUT THAT TRAILER!!! Local authorities where? Those intro. lines were straight out of a B-horror flick. I was hoping for something a little better. The font used was awful for invoking a scare. Plus the title was a little unoriginal. Not the title itself, "House of 1,000 Corpses" is cool, but the way it was scribbled out looks like it was done in Windows Paint in about 30 seconds. Step it up a notch!
-
Use your fucking heads dumbasses. Production started in April, filming probably hasn't started yet. What the hell do you expect in it. It's not like the first trailer to Hannibal didn't suck either.
-
That looks like some real amateur shit. You'd think it'd be tough to make such a snap judgement after seeing only a few seconds of film... but those few seconds tell me everything I need to know about this one. No way this thing will end up in theaters. Good lord, even the titles look terrible.
