Today we're going back to 1998 to look at a comic adaptation that helped screenwriter, producer and director David S. Goyer get his first crack at the Marvel Universe. He wrote the TV movie Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., which acted as a backdoor pilot for Fox. Staring the insanely cheesy yet charismatic David Hasselhoff, the film in some ways was ahead of its time...

The movie is only available on DVD which you can find here. What do you think of the Hoff's turn as the one-eyed head of S.H.I.E.L.D? See you tomorrow for another installment of Super-Powered Cinematics!
