Disney announces release dates for CINDERELLA and another as-yet-untitled Marvel film!!

Howdy do, everyone, Papa Vinyard here.

Last week, there was news that Marvel was developing two further Phase Three feature films (after ANT-MAN, which comes out November 6th, 2015) for May 2016 and 2017, respectively. All they did was announce their release dates; no word as to what the movies are. Well, today, a tweet from Exhibitor Relations announced that there's yet another Marvel film coming out in the Summer of 2016, this one on July 8th. That brings the total of untitled Marvel films with already-announced release dates to three.

What are these three films? No friggin' clue. Could be DOCTOR STRANGE, could be DAREDEVIL (which had its rights finally revert back to Marvel this year), could simply be a sequel to one of the films we've seen already, who knows. What I do know is because you were born different…sorry. Anyway, I'd expect some big announcements about what these flicks will be either next month at Comic-Con or this August at D23. Ain't gonna be IRON MAN 4, that's for damn sure.

Boy, these guys sure know how to create hype; I'm excited for these movies and all I know about them is their bloody release dates!

Also from Exhibitor Relations, we have news that the Kenneth Branagh adaptation of CINDERELLA will be released on March 13, 2015. So much for my guess that they'd be lining it up for a Christmas release. But, as Slashfilm points out, Disney had good luck around that time with ALICE IN WONDERLAND and OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL, so they're hoping to replicate that success with this one before the heavyweights of that summer start rolling out (which, to catch you up, includes STAR WARS VII, AVENGERS 2, ID4 2, and JURASSIC PARK 4…yeah, best to get out the way).

We got CINDERELLA dropping on March 13, 2015, UNTITLED MARVEL FILM 1 coming out May 6, 2016, UNTITLED MARVEL FILM 2 on July 6, 2016, and UNTITLED MARVEL FILM 3 on May 5, 2017.
