That was not quite what I was expecting with our first look at footage for Disney Animation’s next film, FROZEN. This trailer reminded me of the Scrat trailers that we get with every ICE AGE film. It’s amusing but I hope we get a better look at the film soon, as it sounds pretty epic:
In "Frozen," fearless optimist Anna (voice of 'Kristen Bell' ) teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of 'Jonathan Groff' ) and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

Hopefully, FROZEN will continue the pretty great streak Disney Animation has been on, after, BOLT, THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG, TANGLED, WINNIE THE POOH, and last year’s terrific WRECK IT-RALPH. They have been even more consistent than Pixar in recent years and the concept art that has been released so far for FROZEN has been beautiful. (The moose acting like a dog though, is going to confuse the shit out of my almost 3-year-old daughter.)
FROZEN comes to theaters November 27th this year.
