It is confirmed that John C. Reilly will be in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY but who is he playing!?! We have that answer too!!

Hey Yo! Draven here.

The Wrap is reporting that representatives for John C. Reilly have confirmed that he has indeed signed on to play Rhomann Dey in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY.

What isn’t known, is what kind of role this will be. In the comics, Dey is the leader of the Nova Corps and eventually becomes Nova Prime. He then transferred his powers to a human, Richard Rider. There are reports going around, that his role in this film will be nothing like that and that he will essentially be the Agent Coulson go between for the Guardians.

None of this is confirmed, and I have a feeling it is going to be different than that. I don’t think we are going to get him as Nova Prime, just yet and I don’t think that we are going to see Richard Rider, but I do think he is going to have a bigger role than just the go between for the Guardians.

The role was originally described as “a big commitment”, so I imagine that Reilly has signed up for multiple films and we will eventually see Nova Prime. I just don’t think it is going to happen with GUARDIANS. He is going to be a great fit for the film, as I am hearing that it is going to have a GHOSTBUSTERS vibe to it and Reilly seems like he will fit right in with that.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY will be released August 1, 2014 and will probably have a big presence at next month's Comic Con so stay tuned.
