Deadline has dropped the news that Krysten Ritter has joined up with Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams on Tim Burton's latest project, BIG EYES. Ritter, who is probably best known for her roles on BREAKING BAD and DON'T TRUST THE B----(bitch) IN APARTMENT 23, will play Adams' best friend, who backs her up when her husband, played by Waltz, takes the credit for her portraits (featuring, you guessed it, big eyes) that made the couple famous. She showed a good amount of promise as Aaron Paul's love interest on season two of BAD, and while it seems like this bff-er role is a step backward for the up-and-comer, a high-profile gig in a Tim Burton flick (especially one scripted by his ED WOOD screenwriters Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski) can only help her burgeoning career.
And doesn't she look like she'd be right at home in Tim Burton's world?
Filming on BIG EYES commences later this summer.
