The trailer for the upcoming thriller Prisoners dropped today, promising some intense moments later this fall.
After his young daughter is kidnapped from her quiet neighborhood, family man Hugh Jackman works with the police and eventually strikes out on his own in order to bring her home safely. This film is carried by some amazing acting talent including Jake Gyllenhaal, Terrence Howard, Maria Bello, Viola Davis, Melissa Leo, and Paul Danno (looking particuarly creepy). Judging from the trailer and the killer cast, this film looks to offer some intensley dramatic moments.
While this sort of story is nothing new in the landscape, Prisoners seems to be relying more on drama and suspense, rather than the action-heavy approach like in Taken or Payback.
