We have more casting news on a project that should excite everybody, Deadline is reporting that Josh Brolin is set for a “key role” in Paul Thomas Anderson’s adaptation of INHERENT VICE.
Everyone has been talking a lot about this film lately as it gears up to shoot this summer but this is just more excellent news. This is in addition to Joaquin Phoenix, Benicio Del Toro, Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon, and Martin Short. They are also reporting that Sean Penn is eyeing a role in the film as well. (I am sure this will make up for how wasted Penn and Brolin were in GANGSTER SQUAD, oh how that movie sucked).
This is one of the most exciting projects that is in advanced development right now and it continues to get better. P.T. Anderson is one of the great directors of this generation and it is wonderful to see him turn around with a new project so quickly after last year’s, THE MASTER. This movie is going to rock.
