Hey Yo! Draven here.
Relativity has announced that they will release the Kevin Costner starring, action-thriller, THREE DAYS TO KILL, just in time for Valentine’s Day next year, February 14, 2014. Everyone’s favorite director, McG, directed the project from a script by Luc Besson and Adi Hasak. Hailee Steinfeld, Amber Heard, and Connie Nielsen co-star alongside Costner.
In following with Besson’s previous “hit man with a heart” movies, THREE DAYS revolves around a government hit man (Costner) who is diagnosed with a terminal disease and decides to retire to build a better relationship with his wife (Nielsen) and daughter (Steinfeld). Then, *shockingly* his former agency offers him a chance at a cure for his seemingly incurable disease, but of course he must complete one last mission and stop the world’s most dangerous terrorist while looking after his daughter (who I am sure will not end up getting kidnapped) to get it.
As you can see, it sounds like a typical Besson scripted film with the father-daughter dynamic, lots of death and explosions, lessons learned by everybody but the ruthless terrorist, and the eventual “Unrated” home video release. It is Kevin Costner though and he has his fans, as does Besson, (but I draw the line at saying McG has his fans) so there is potential for at least a solid action film here.
What do you guys think? Does anybody get excited for Kevin Costner action films anymore? Is McG really that bad or just a serviceable hack?
