So is JURASSIC PARK IV a remake or a reboot? Sam Neill thinks he has the answer!

Hey Yo! Draven here.

So after JURASSIC PARK IV was delayed we all were left wondering why. Well Sam Neill, star of the original JURASSIC PARK, has come out and said that he is not going to be a part of the new one and he might have an update on the new film.

Neill told stuff.co.nz (via comicbookmovie.com), “I'm told it's a big reboot, a total re-jig."

This would seem to contradict producer Frank Marshall’s comments last year that JURASSIC PARK IV would be a sequel and not a reboot. Was it delayed so they could rework it into a straight up reboot? I'm not sure but Sam Neill probably isn’t in the know when it comes to the new film and there is no telling how reliable his source is so I would take this quote with a grain of salt. I think it is probably going to be a little bit of a reboot and a little bit of a sequel (just like the upcoming TRANSFORMERS 4).

I loved director Collin Trevorrow’s SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED and the film was delayed so that he can re-write the script so I hope that JURASSIC PARK IV will end being a return to form for the series. Stay tuned for more news regarding the film.
