Greetings, all. Ambush Bug here with another AICN HORROR: ZOMBIES & SHARKS column. Because I was preparing for this weekend’s C2E2 Convention in Chicago, I wasn’t able to finish my reviews for this week, but fear not, I’ll have a full column for you all on Monday come hell or high water. But I do have a couple of news bits you might find interesting. Before I do that, I just wanted to remind folks that I’ll be at the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) in the McCormick Place just south of Downtown Chicago this weekend checking out the sights and sounds of the con and doing book signings for my current miniseries THE JUNGLE BOOK: LAST OF THE SPECIES and my upcoming comic WEREWOLVES: THE HUNGER from Zenescope Entertainment from 5:00-6:00pm on Friday and again from 5:00-6:00pm on Saturday at the Zenescope booth. So come on by to pick up some of my comics or just say hey!

For those who haven’t caught THALE yet, you reallu should do yourself a favor and do so. It’s a pretty amazing film and it’s finally available on DVD & BluRay this week. Check out my review of the film and interview with the director Aleksander Nordaas here.

From the writer of PONTYPOOL comes HELLMOUTH, a new horror film, directed by John Geddes (EXIT HUMANITY), the film stars Stephen McHattie (PONTYPOOL, THE WATCHMEN) as Charlie Baker, a dying grave keeper who’s forced to take one final job. I have a pair of trailers from Uncork’d Entertainment.One’s for a film called THE DEPRAVED (formerly URBAN WARRIOR) which played the 2011 Fantastic Fest in Austin.
And the other’s called THE CLOTH with Danny Trejo and Eric Roberts.

Speaking of V/H/S, Nick Nafploitis sent in a really fascinating interview with the iconic star of the first film, Hannah Fierman. Out of all of the shorts in the movie, her turn as the poster girl for why you should be careful picking up strange girls in a club was by far the most memorable.You can find the interview by clicking here.
