It’s long been known that Vince Gilligan wants to engineer a spin-off focused on one of my favorite “Breaking Bad” characters, the wily and slippery criminal attorney Saul Goodman played by Bob Odenkirk.
The news today, though, is a Deadline source isn’t sure if Saul would get an hourlong or his own half-hour sitcom.
AMC hasn’t yet dipped its toe into the sitcom pond yet, has it?
Did you know Jonathan Banks’ Mike Ehrmantraut character was created because Odenkirk had a scheduling conflict and wasn’t available to shoot one of his Saul scenes? Is true.
AMC launches the final eight episodes of “Breaking Bad” July 14.
