Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. That's right. It looks like Godzilla good luck charm Akira Takarada will be putting in an appearance in Gareth Edwards' big reboot.
Yesterday Legendary Pictures tweeted out the below image of Edwards with the star of 1954's very first Godzilla movie (and regular of many of Big Green's future flicks including Godzilla, King of All Monsters, Mothra Vs. Godzilla, Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster and even the more recent Godzilla: Final Wars).
It's a safe bet that Mr. Takarada will be a cameo, probably along the lines of Stan Lee in any Marvel movie, but it's good to know that Edwards is paying his respects to those that came before him. Good move, Team Legendary Godzilla! Roland Emmerich didn't think to include him in the '98 Godzilla. Just sayin'.
