"I've watched a lot of movies, Paul. I know what I'm doing."
PAIN & GAIN is Michael Bay's toxic tale of three 'roided-out bodybuilders who get embroiled in a kidnapping scheme that goes horribly, horrifically wrong. It's based on a series of Miami New Times articles by Pete Collins, and it promises to be Bay's most excessive film yet. Just in case you're doubting the lurid lengths to which a four-quadrant filmmaker like Bay is willing to go, here's a new red-band trailer that holds almost nothing back.
PAIN & GAIN was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who wrote CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER and are currently working on CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. I would say this demonstrates range.
PAIN & GAIN hits theaters April 26, 2013.
