Shailene Woodley reteams with her Spectacular Now writers for THE FAULT IN OUR STARS!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Shailene Woodley knocked me out in The Descendants and then did it again when I saw The Spectacular Now at SXSW. She has a knack for turning characters that come across as annoyingly naive into incredibly sympathetic people.

That's why I'm not all up in arms about her being cast as Mary Jane in the next Spider-Man flick. She's a great actress that is beautiful in a girl next door kind of way. I know MJ is supposed to be super model gorgeous, but I think Woodley can pull that off as well as that other thing... you know, line-delivery and all that acting nonsense.

Seeing how she knocked it out of the park in The Spectacular Now it's not all that surprising to me that she's now going to be playing the lead in The Fault In Our Stars, scripted by Spectacular Now writers Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber.

Directed by Josh Boone, The Fault In Our Stars is an adaptation of John Green's best-seller of the same name. Fox2000 is funding the flick about a romance between two young people both fighting against cancer. The way the synopsis reads on Amazon this one's gonna fuck me up, I just know it. The whole thing is about these characters falling madly in love and milking their limited time on this earth for all it's worth. Yep, pretty sure I'm gonna cry in public again. Thanks guys.
