The Kidd here...

It's really happening... GODZILLA is actually in the works, with principal photography commencing on Gareth Edwards' new vision for the famed Japanese monster on Monday. So with the release date set for next May and now production underway, it's time to get a bit excited that we're getting a new GODZILLA soon enough.

But even with things starting up, that didn't stop Edwards from finishing a little bit of last minute casting with The Hollywood Reporter reporting that Ken Watanabe has been added to an already impressive cast made up of the likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche,David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. As for who Watanabe will be playing, that remains a mystery as Edwards, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have all been keeping a tight lip on GODZILLA's storyline.
