John Ary here with a quick look at the new documentary Rewind This! 

If you grew up in the 80's and early 90's like me, you probably watched some of the most seminal films of your life on a VHS player. This film talks to the pioneers responsible for pushing VHS technology to a wide audience and the people fighting to keep it alive. Going into the movie, I didn't really understand why we need preserve this outdated technology, but the filmmakers make an excellent argument for its preservation and why in some ways it's better than our current digital distribution model.
