Some more horrible bosses are looking at a dangerous future for themselves now that Warner Bros. and New Line are moving ahead on a HORRIBLE BOSSES sequel. The script, penned by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who wrote the first film, has been ready to go for some time, but it's been nailing down the cast that's proven a bit more difficult in getting HORRIBLE BOSSES 2 rolling. Well, that's not the case anymore.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis have all closed their deals to return for the follow-up with Seth Gordon back to direct once again. Jamie Foxx is also working on his deal to reprise his role as Motherfucker Jones, although it looks like we'll be getting a whole new set of bosses to push around the star trio, resulting in yet another plan to off these awful workplace superiors.
There may still be room for Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey to cameo in some respects, as their characters did manage to survive the first film, but Colin Farrell, who bit the dust at the end, is unfortunately not going to make it. Damn shame, too, as it may have been his finest performance in recent years, and easily the funniest part of the first flick.
