John Ary And Monty Cristo On Marvel's SXSW 2013 Announcements!!
John Ary here with a quick look at Marvel's panel from SXSW. To sum it all up:
Under the #1 initiative you will be able to download 700 first issues from the Marvel catalog through Tuesday via its app or Comixology. Look for a new digital line of weekly comics entitled Infinite Comics in the summer starting with Wolverine: Japan's Most Wanted. Three other titles will be announced later. "Project Gamma" will soon add interactive audio to digital comics that changes from panel to panel depending on the subject matter and the characters on the page. We got a demo of this and it worked wonderfully, adding a nice ambiance to the experience. Look for more on this as it develops. If you like Marvel's YouTube programming, you are in luck. They're expanding their online video presence with Earth's Mightiest Show starring Blair Butler, formerly of G4.
