Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I know we're all waiting to hear who is going to voice Rocket Raccoon in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy, but in the meantime how about another animated raccoon voice announcement?
Liam Neeson has signed on to The Nut Job, an animated heist flick about a squirrel who plots to rob a nut store.
Neeson's character will be the bad guy, an evil raccoon (and aren't they all evil? I mean, they're all cute and then when you get close they turn into hissing critters-style monsters) and joins Will Arnett, Katherine Heigle, Brendan Fraser, Jeff Dunham, Sara Gadon and Stephen Lang (remember him?).
The film will be directed by Peter Lepeniotis, who worked at both Disney and Pixar back in the day as an animator on films like Toy Story 2, Fantasia 2000 and Dinosaur.
I'm sure the moral of the story is you don't mess with Liam Neeson's nuts. True in children's fiction, true in life.
