It was bound to happen - Peter Jackson and his team at WETA normally work until the last possible minute on their movies, and for THERE AND BACK AGAIN to break the paradigm and open in Summer 2014 was probably just too much, with added reshoots and special effects to be finished.

So... THE HOBBIT: THERE AND BACK AGAIN moves back to December 17th from July 18th, 2014, according to Deadline.  And BNAT 16 just became even more awesome! Maybe.
