Tom Hardy is developing SAMARKAND, in which he'll star.  The picture is being written by Greg and Olly Williams - the Greg of whom will direct.  

Hardy's character portrays a soldier struggling to re-integrate into society after his tour of duty with the British regiment the SAS 

 ..says THR HERE.  

Hardy had a fascinating year last year, with a stunning role in John Hillcoat's LAWLESS, appearting as Bane in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, a part opposite Chris Pine in the high-profile yet McG burdened THIS MEANS WAR, and finally going before cameras as Max Rockatansky in George Miller's MAD MAX: FURY ROAD.  It'll be interesting to see what this diverse and consistently chameleonic actor has up his sleeves with this one...
