The Kidd here...

There are plenty of reasons why I wish I was going to SXSW this year, but after viewing this new trailer for SCENIC ROUTE (via Deadline), which will be making its world premiere in Austin as a part of this year's festivities, you can add "having the opportunity to watch Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler beat the ever-lovin' shit out of one another on the side of the road in the middle of the desert" to the list. 

The brutal fight isn't the only selling point of the film. SCENIC ROUTE is all about a road trip that's gone horribly bad, worse than anything we've seen take on a comedic tone in the spirit of MIDNIGHT RUN or PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES. Here, you have two long-time friends whose lives have just drifted apart over time. When their pick-up truck breaks down in the middle of the desert and the prospect of being aided begins to dwindle, they begin to set in on each other, questioning each others' life decisions with no holds barred. 

If you're out at SXSW, this looks like one you should definitely check out.
