Jason Clarke Will Wake Up At The DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES!!

The Kidd here...

Jason Clarke is a big reason why ZERO DARK THIRTY turned out to be as incredible a film as it is (Chastain's performance, Bigelow's direction and Boal's script being some other major pieces), so, following that breakout role for the actor, it's good news to hear The Hollywood Reporter report that Clarke has now signed on to star in DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.

As for the nature of Clarke's role, that is a bit of a mystery, even though we are now learning a bit more about where exactly Matt Reeves' DAWN takes place in relation to Rupert Wyatt's RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. According to THR, this new chapter takes place 15 years after the end of the last film with the story following two parallel paths - one centered around a group of San Francisco scientists who are trying to survive on their own and the other revolving around Caesar of course and his fight to keep control over the rest of the apes.

Does that mean we'll see more James Franco and Freida Pinto, or has this world evolved from their participation? And does this put these two concurrent story arcs on a collision course with the humans being taken prisoner by the apes? Things just got very interesting...
