Mark Burnett’s new reality series “The Job,” which sought to find employment for contestants seeking as much, is itself creating unemployment.

CBS has elected to cancel the Friday series following two low-rated airings.

"Undercover Boss" will return to fill the vacated slot.

Denis Leary’s 2001 ABC sitcom “The Job” lasted 19 episodes, so it’s still the most successful series with that title.

Burnett’s more popular shows include “The Voice,” “Survivor,” “The Apprentice,” and “Shark Tank.”
