FX To Serialize Serial Killer Border Drama THE BRIDGE!!
Serial killers are the new vampires.
We’ve already got “Criminal Minds,” “Dexter,” “The Following” and NBC’s fast-approaching “Hannibal” Lecter series, and now FX has just greenlit 13 episodes of “The Bridge,” about American and Mexican cops teaming up to solve a series of murders in the border towns of El Paso and Juarez.
Based on “Bron,” a Scandinavian series set on the Danish/Swedish border, “The Bridge” pilot was scripted by “Cold Case” vets Meredith Stiehm (“Homeland”) and Elwood Reid (“Hawaii Five-0”).
The American version will star Diane Kruger (“Inglourious Basterds”) and Demian Bichir (“Weeds,” “Savages”) and hit FX in July.
