Longtime “Dawson’s Creek” showrunner Greg Berlanti can’t leave the superheroes alone.
After scripting the “Green Lantern” movie and creating “No Ordinary Family” and “Arrow,” he just received a pilot order for “The Tomorrow People,” an X-Men-like group of mutants kids from all over the world with powers like telepathy, telekinesis and teleportation.
It’s based on the British kiddie show that ran on ITV from 1973 to 1979. It reached U.S. audiences via Nickelodeon.
Instead of a school for gifted youngsters, the group operated out of a secret lab in an abandoned London subway station.
Phil Klemmer (“Chuck,” “Political Animals”) is writing the pilot.
