Next week brings the two-hour “Fringe” series finale, but tonight’s hour-long installment (9pm Fox), titled “The Boy Must Live,” is another can’t-miss episode.

As the clips above above demonstrate, Walter has joined Peter and Olivia with an ability to remember the series’ original Peter-enhanced timeline.

It also offers answers to a number of old questions, including why no female Observers, what’s up with Donald and the truth about The Littlest Observer’s secret origin. It was scripted by “Lost” and “Fringe” vet Graham Roland.

“Banshee” (10pm Cinemax), the brainchild of bestselling novelists David Schickler (“Kissing In Manhattan,” “Sweet and Vicious”) and Jonathan Tropper (“Plan B,” “The Book of Joe”) is about an ex-con who assumes the identity of a small Pennsylvania town’s new sheriff after the real lawman is murdered. Writer-director Alan Ball (“American Beauty,” “Six Feet Under,” “Towelhead,” “True Blood”) is aboard as producer.

“Malibu Country,” which debuted as Friday’s top scripted show last year, has lost nearly half the 18-49 audience with which it started:
