“Hole in the Wall,” tonight’s first new “Justified” since April, is one of the series’ best episodes ever.

Patton Oswalt joins the cast tonight as Bob Sweeney, who gets paid $2,400 annually to act as local constable. Bob thinks he’s a badass and there’s a little bit of badass in Bob, who dreams of joining the state police.

There’s no Winona this week, nor Art Mullen or Tim Gutterson. We instead get some great scenes with Raylan Givens’ incarcerated pop Arlo Givens.

The episode begins almost exactly 30 years ago, with ZZ Top on the radio and Ronald Reagan grinning on the front page of the morning newspaper. Before long there’s a hot, nude female bounty hunter and soon Raylan resumes his own badassery in a bail-jumper adventure of which he’d prefer the Marshal’s Service remain unaware.

On the Crowder front, Boyd is concerned about a downturn in Oxycontin sales and whoremistress Ava has to contend with her girl Ellen May’s troubling behavior. Boyd also gets a new enforcer in the form of old army buddy Colton Rhodes (Ron Eldard).

10 p.m. Tuesday. FX.

After 33 years (including the “Argo” era) at 11:30 p.m., “Nightline” moves to zero dark thirty (12:30 a.m.) with an interview with Quentin Tarantino and two of his “Django Unchained” stars.

Nearly a decade after it left the air, “The Joe Schmo Show” – which helped launch the careers of Kristin Wiig (“Bridesmaids”), Natasha Leggero (“Last Comic Standing”), Jon Huertas (“Castle”), Valerie Azlynn (“Surrogates,” “Sullivan & Son”), Jessica Mackinson (“Halfway Home”), Lance Krall (“Breaking In”) and David Hornsby (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) – hits Spike at 10 p.m.
